Whatever your recreational interests, there is something for you in Sonoma County. 

Bodega Bay is a great place to find a wonderful range of outdoor activities . If you are looking for a serene walk on the beach with gorgeous views, look no further than Doran Park at sunset. For those looking for a more strenuous walk, try Wright's Beach.  The path travels along the cliffs and overlooks the breaking surf and breathtaking vistas.  You can also rent a bike and ride to Bodega Head to discover the panoramic views of the Sonoma Coast.  If you prefer traveling on four legs you can always hire a horse and enjoy Salmon Creek Beach in the afternoon.

Are water sports more your speed?  Why not rent a kayak and enjoy a leisurely trek in the company of harbor seals, otters, rays, and a variety of waterfowl. Another option is to bring a shovel and bucket and try your hand at clamming or building a sandcastle.
Popular activities in the area include windsurfing and kite flying. 

Another location with a variety of opportunities for exploration is the 157 acres of Ragle Ranch Park (707-823-1153) which runs alongside apple orchards, and provides opportunities for mountain biking, jogging, and horseback riding.
