Recreation & Tourist Activities
After having your fill of delicious wine from Edna Valley and are in search for some outdoor fun, try the Lopez Lake Recreation Area offers activities year around. The  Lake has a marina, launching ramp, store, boat rentals and waterslides.  During the summer months, interpretive and evening campfire programs are offered.  You can enjoy water sports, fishing, the day use picnic area, or just enjoy the natural setting for a day or for a weekend.  805-788-2381.
If the beach is more your style, just a few miles away some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.  Pismo Beach and Oceano Dunes areas have come famous by providing an opportunity like no other – you can drive your passenger or recreational vehicles right onto the beach!  The only caution is to be aware of the tides on the day of your visit, so that you don’t end up needing a tow back to the street.  While this area is generally known as a playground for off-road enthusiasts, it also offers a variety of outdoor activities, such as swimming, surfing, fishing, camping hiking and horseback riding. 805- 473-7200 / 805-473-7230 / 800-444-7275.
