Elvenglade Winery and Vineyard is in the Yamhill - Carlton AVA approx. 1 hour drive from Portland, and 10 minutes to the towns of Yamhill and Carlton. It is Comprised of 55.7 acres with 25 acres planted to Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Chardonnay. Portions of the vineyard date to 1986, part of which is own-rooted. In addition to Elvenglade’s own highly rated wines, fruit has gone into Sineann, Owen Roe, and other highly regarded wines. Some of the notable vineyards that share this AVA are Elk Cove, Savoya, Belle Pente Estate, Shea, Resonance, and Merriman Vineyards. Vineyards that have recently been developed in the AVA are Penner Ash (Dussin Vineyard), Premier Pacific (Grand Moraine Vineyard), Tony Soter (Mineral Springs Vinyard), and Ken Wright (Abbott Claim Vineyard). The Winery, built in 2001, is 5300 sq.ft., designed for 12,000-15000 case production. The facility is fully equipped with bin dumper, Delta destemmer, sorting table, 19,000 gallons of jacketed tank space, Glycol cooling and heating system, , Defranchesci Press, and a comprehensive list of additional neccessary equipment. Additionally there are a beautiful 1800 sq.ft. tasting and events center, full commercial kitchen, office and lab space. The property includes a 7950 sq ft home, set in the middle of the vineyard, with a view to Ribbon Ridge, and the Chehalem Mountains. A 1725 sq ft heated shop / garage is nicely finished with office space, and bathroom facilities, and provides a great work space separate from the main house.
