Ideally located approximately 90 miles from Manhattan and minutes from the Long Island Expressway, Palmer Vineyards is a prime destination in the North Fork wine region welcoming 400 to700 visitors a day to its winery during the summer and harvest season. From July through October, Palmer Vineyards hosts numerous events for the public, including art shows, live music, family hay rides, and writers’ forums. Private functions and weddings have received rave reviews from such publications as the Bridal Planner section in Newsday and New York Times. The 62 acre vineyard includes 5.5 acres on Sound Avenue that house the winery, state-of-the-art operational facilities, tasting room, the historic 1757 Wells farmhouse, a two-acre building site with bucolic vineyards vistas, an additional residentially zoned one acre lot with barn. Over 48 acres are planted with premier varietals of Merlot, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewurztraminer, and Riesling.
