For an occasional snack, there is a bar area and an Eat-in Kitchen area that overlooks the backyard, vineyard, and lake.  There is a formal dining room for entertaining guests.  The extra large living room area has vaulted ceilings, and is large enough for that Big Screen TV.  The fireplace warms the room on some of those cold winter evenings.  It burns wood, but is piped with gas if desired.  The living room opens up to the pool deck with a 12 ft pocket sliding glass door.  The pool is a 40 ft lap pool with hot tub located on the Master Bedroom end.  The Master Bedroom has separate His and Hers closets (hers is bigger), and Bathroom with separate His and Hers sinks (hers with makeup area).  There is also a sitting area in the Master Bedroom for reading, and a door that leads to the Hot Tub.  Two other bedrooms are located on the other side of the house.  One has a set of French Doors that opens out onto the patio.  They share a common bathroom.  Satellite TV and Cable are available in this community.  High Speed Internet is through the local telephone company.

Entrance to the Mother-in-Law apartment is from the back patio.  The entrance opens to the living room/Kitchen area.  The apartment has a separate Bedroom, bathroom, and walk-in closet.

The Vineyard

Grow Wine Grapes in Florida?  Definitely!  Bad Armadillo Vineyard offers the Best in Pierce Disease Resistant Bunch Grapes and Muscadine Grapes.  Wines made from these grapes have won awards, year after year, at the Florida State Fair International and Hobby Wine Competition – Last year, a Double Gold for Cynthiana (Norton).  The Vineyard has about ½ acre of planted Blanc du Bois, Conquistador, Black Spanish, Favorite, and Lake Emerald Bunch Grapes.  It also has about ¼ acre of Noble, Carlos, Southern Home, and Janet Muscadine Grapes.  Most of the vines are 8 to 10 years old.  Grapevines and cuttings have been sold annually over the internet for a small additional income.

The Winery

The Winery building, which also houses the lawn and winery equipment, is in a 12 x 30 Ted Shed located on the back of the property by the lake.  It includes a crusher, press, carboys, refrigerator, and all the necessary equipment needed for wine production.
