The Yakima Valley is usally considered the heart of Washington wine country. The northern edge of the Yakima Valley include Rattlesnake Hills and to the south are the Horse Heaven Hills. Looking west you would be seeing the foothills of the Cascade mountain range and to the east you will see Red Mountain, which is another Washington state appellation.
