Default 2006 Tobin James Cellars "Liquid Love" - 06-01-2008, 10:19 PM

This evening I find myself opening a bottle of the 2006 Tobin James Cellars "Liquid Love", to accompany some new york cheesecake with chocolate and raspberry sauce. At this moment all that come to mind is WOW.

This intense, crimson colored beauty, is a late harvest zinfandel, that really packs a punch. Its alcohol is 17.4% and has remaining sugars of 5 deg Brix. This syrupy goodness seems to have a smoky, dark chocolate taste, with a splash of raspberry and hint of peach to smooth the flavor out.

Highly recommended on its own, or with most any dessert. Try one for yourself and let me know what you think.

Default I love Tobin James - 06-18-2008, 11:05 PM

While this bottle isn't my absolute favorite of the Tobin James offerings I would encourage those who have not tasted TB to buy a bottle and give them a try. All I know is they have a great dessert wine which comes in a tall bottle which is to die for.
